The annual preventive maintenance program (PM) for the VeriLinkRx provides several features and benefits for your hospital pharmacy. A PM certifies your equipment is in tip top shape and offers you piece of mind. Preventive maintenance is an economical approach to ensure productive and accurate equipment performance. The Rudolph Research PM is designed to avoid major breakdowns through annual monitoring of equipment with certified calibration standards and temperature tests by a trained service professional. The service professional also provides the most recent firmware, software, narcotic library updates. A PM is a powerful certified document for regulatory or legal audits. PM’s are performed on an annual basis and onsite by Rudolph Research’s service professionals. Travel and lodging is included in the PM. PM discounts are available for multiple systems within 2 hours travel time and if the purchase is made at the same time.
WHAT THE PM ENTAILS
CALIBRATION STANDARD VALIDATION
Rudolph service professionals travel to your site with 5 calibration standards and validate that VeriLinkRx is within specification for accuracy and reproducibility.
DOCUMENTATION
All tests are documented and provided in a dated and signed calibration report.
NARCOTIC LIBRARY UPDATES
Hospital pharmacies that participate in the PM have access to the narcotic library spreadsheet. The list includes the several hundred values of narcotics from various pharmaceutical manufactures and hospital pharmacies.
TEMPERATURE VALIDATION
Certain standards have refractive indices at specified temperatures, and the system is tested to operate at various temperatures.
SOFTWARE AND FIRMWARE UPDATES
These updates are optional and your service professional will provide a set of release notes so that you understand all of the latest updates and features in the software.
PM OVER TIME
After your PM you will be quoted a PM for the following year.
